Port Ross is a natural harbour on the Northern coast of Auckland Island, and has been host to its fair share of history, including the settlement of Hardwicke and the Ranui Coastwatch Station.
Lake Hinemoa lies further south, and is a large freshwater lake that occupies a glacial basin on the Eastern coast of Auckland Island.
